Autumn is the time where the lungs and respiratory system can be affected, causing discomfort and inconvenience. Yin yoga can help bring balance for the body and mind to ease through the season preparing for a healthy winter.Yin yoga focuses on the good health of the energy lines known as meridians, relaxing the ligaments, joints and fascia tissue rather than toning the muscles like in more strong yoga practices.
Gentle music or singing bowls are played whilst you release into floor based postures; working with gravity and mindfully moving into poses to stay for up to 5 minutes in each pose. Props and modifications are used and provided to work with any injuries or limitations. Poems and stories are sometimes incorporated to encourage deeper relaxation.
We love sharing yummy healthy food to continue the high vibration, Please Bring something vegan to share for dinner.
Why vegan & what is Vegan food?
For Spring time, it is a good idea to detox and purify the system to encourage letting go of toxins in the body which cause low in energy and illness.
By EATING CLEAN this encourages the body systems to have a rest from doing so much work to digest the food we consume. And by choosing non dairy and free from animal products we support the ethos of NON harming which is the first yama yoga principle. Read more via link:http://www.govegan.org.uk/
