Yoga with Wai can not be learnt from a book! It is a truly unique gift to those who want a Sadhana (spiritual practice) based on personal experience of 24 years and application to modern reality.
Wai Chung started her spiritual journey at the age of 16 when she first joined the Triple Gem Buddhist order. Meditating and chanting from the age of 16, she lives her teachings in day to day life. Yoga found Wai in 2001, which lead her to Steve Harrison in Southampton U.K. with Flow Yoga and Living yoga at The Yoga Sanctuary whom she is grateful to have trained with for 7 years. After which she trained with Wendy Haring in Poole U.K. with Hatha Yoga as part of The British Wheel of Yoga. The invitations from peers and friends to teach yoga lead Wai to develop her own unique style of Yoga over the last 7 years, now known as Wai Chung Yoga.
Years of practice and learning on far away journeys led her to go deeper, she travelled India and South East Asia practising Yoga and Buddhism with teachers, nuns, monks in a monastery and in ashrams. This led her home to her heart, since returning home to the heart and soul, she now teaches from her current life time of knowledge and skills to inspire your journey of self realization, awareness, connection and to shine your truth in the here and now.
Her ethnic Chinese background and living the understanding of Nature and the Five Elements, combined with the knowledge of Holistic Therapies, and the interest in Wing Chun martial arts with Qi Gong has influenced her personality and style of teaching. The deep insights into life and the reality of Being has led her to serve the community with classes, courses, workshops, holidays, events and retreats. An on-line community is being developed to support the audience of students from around the globe.
