Welcome to a down to earth yet spiritual yoga journey with Wai Chung. She understands everyone has a different body and encourages each person to nurture and cultivate their own bodies rather than comparing with others, so you have an authentic yoga experience.
It focuses on a person’s entire needs, rather than solely on the physical practice of yoga. The student learns to integrate the yoga practiced on the mat to benefit his or her daily life, thus creating a lifestyle.
Yoga is the Sanskrit word for “union,” and it refers to the mind, body and breath connection. The practice is over 5000 years old, and it was developed as a means to cleanse and prepare the body for meditation and proper energy transmission.
Yoga poses, or asanas, are combined with breathing exercises in order to harmonize the body-mind connection. Ease tension through stretches and movement. Chanting, meditation and relaxation brings calm, clarity and a feel good factor, so you are ready for the world again.
Expect a class to include a fusion of:
- Breathing Exercises known as Pranayama
- Sound Vibration with voice or Tibetan Bowls
- Sanskrit Chanting for Heart connection
- Yoga Postures known as Asana
- Gentle Body & Postural Alignment
- Sequence Movement known as Vinyasa
- Stillness & Meditation
- Transformation Journeying
- Yoga Nidra – Deep Relaxation
Yoga provides the tools for your inner cultivation and development. It provides practical ways to overcome problems instead of escaping from them. Calming the mind and getting out of the head into a more grounded relaxed state.
Yoga with Wai is ideal for:

What people say about Wai Chung Yoga:
I attended the beginners four week course in yoga and found it very enjoyable. As someone who is very interested in inner development but new to yoga, I felt that the course was simple enough to understand yet really captured the essence of meditative practice. Despite being part of a class, Wai made it feel very personal by advising us to focus on our own personal journey through yoga and to recognise one’s own unique flow. I feel that the course has given me a good platform to continue to build on my personal practice. I would definitely recommend it!

Wai’s Yoga class is wonderful. I always leave the class feeling relaxed and noticeably less tense in both my muscles and my mind. The class is friendly and encouraging. After running the ‘BathHalf’ this year I was aching all over, but after the Wednesday night class my legs felt as good as new. Wai isn’t like some instructors that think everyone should be able to bend in half, she really understands and appreciates how individual people are in terms of their flexibility and injuries. I never feel any pressure and therefore can just enjoy the practice. Whether you are a runner or not, I would highly recommend this class.

“Yoga with Wai has really helped to ease my tight muscles as well as giving me the opportunity to relax after a busy day. I’ve recommended this yoga class to all of my colleagues at Lordshill Road Runners and will continue to do so. If I had enough time, I’d like to practice yoga with Wai every day!”

I have never learnt yoga before and this course seems to be a great place to start with. I don’t have to worry about how I look and compare myself to others in class since we are all beginners, we are always given easier versions to choose from and steps are easy to follow. It really helps me to release stress and to be more flexible. I would recommend yoga with Wai. Thanks Wai 🙂
