Healing Yoga is focused on listening to the body instead of imposing onto the body as you approach and work in postures. placing emphasis on the energy body as well as the physical needs, stillness and theory to understand more and feel deeply. Both focuses on a person’s entire needs, rather than solely on the physical practice of yoga. The student learns to integrate the yoga practiced on the mat to benefit his or her daily life, thus creating a lifestyle.

Yoga is the Sanskrit word for “union,” and it refers to the mind, body and breath connection. The practice is over 5000 years old, and it was developed as a means to cleanse and prepare the body for meditation and proper energy transmission.
Yoga poses, or asanas, are combined with breathing exercises in order to harmonize the body-mind connection. Ease tension through stretches and movement. Chanting, meditation and relaxation brings calm, clarity and a feel good factor, so you are ready for the world again.

I have never learnt yoga before and this course seems to be a great place to start with.
